I’ve been in a pretty dark place the last few days after this shooting, filled with hurt and anger and confusion. All I’ve known to do is offer resources and try to be helpful as possible instead of telling the music culture and community I’m closest to how to feel about such a tragic situation. My music peers are impacted but also my students. Over the last few days, I’ve had some hard discussions in the classroom.
